Comments: Conducting the ongoing Bulls Island waterfowl/shorebird survey. Effort: 4.15 mi and 1 hr by ferry plus 11.7 mi and 2 hr by vehicle plus 1.0 mi and 5 hr by foot. Weather: temps 65 °F to 75 °F; AM overcast and muggy; AM winds calm; PM was bright overcast to partly cloudy to mostly cloudy as the afternoon progressed; PM winds were SW 5 mph to 10 mph. The annual archery hunt for deer has been ongoing since Sunday 3 Nov 2013; there were several tent camps set up at the picnic grounds on the island. The hunters were hunting only at daybreak and sunset.
